We arecurrently seeking a Director of Learning and Teaching for an ongoing full-time teaching position, with a two year Position of Leadership appointment (POL 4),commencing January 2026. The Director of Learning and Teaching is a key strategic leader who will shape and strengthen the College’s learning culture. We are currently seeking an Operations Leader for an ongoing full time position, commencing January 2026. This position is available as an Ongoing Teaching Position or Category B Education Support Employee, and will have a Position of Leadership allowance of POL 3.

The College Operations Leader works closely with the Executive Deputy Principal (Staff and Culture) to facilitate the effective organisation and planning of College life. Learning Support Officer Position Description
  • Excellent written, oral communication and interpersonal skills including empathy, good listening skills and the ability to negotiate and liaise with parents/guardians, staff and students

Teacher Librarian

The Teacher Librarian role is a contract position offered as a 0.4 (FTE) for Semester 2 of 2023.

Mercy College is a Catholic secondary college for young people, committed to handing on the teachings of Christ and His Church, and to living out those teachings.

Ideally this will be a teacher with a specific qualification in this area of education. They will provide a broad range of digital, print, electronic and audio-visual resources to support the learning outcomes of students and support effective teaching.

The role will also involve supporting English teachers with Wide Reading programs at a junior secondary level and conducting daily library duties such as borrowing books to students, returns, shelving of resources and purchasing of resources for teaching staff.
