Learning Support Officer
Part-time, 5 days week

We are seeking applications from experienced individuals to join our Learning Diversity Team on a part time ongoing basis (8.30am to 3.30pm, Monday to Friday).
The primary role of a Learning Support Officer is to:
· assist the teachers in supporting the learning of students. This support is provided under the direction of the class teacher and Learning Diversity Leader.
· work with individual students with disabilities, impairments and/or learning exceptionalities and across a range of learning areas.
· maximise participation within the mainstream curriculum, promote inclusion, support achievement and monitor progress.
· assist with the basic emotional, social and physical care of students with special needs as well as to encourage student to develop a sense of responsibility towards their own education.
Successful applicants must have current Working with Children check and National Police Records Check.

Years 7 and 8 Learning and Wellbeing Leader

We are currently seeking and Years 7 and 8 Learning and Wellbeing Leader for an ongoing full time or part time position, commencing Tuesday 28 January 2025.
The Learning and Wellbeing Leader is responsible for fostering a positive school environment, enhancing the overall wellbeing of students and implementing best known practices in pastoral care and management of behavioural development.
Appointees are expected to show understanding of and commitment to the Catholic ethos of the College. Mercy College is committed to creating and maintaining a child safe environment in which students feel safe and are safe. A condition of employment is that the applicant is deemed to be suitable to work with children.

Learning Support Officer

We are currently seeking a Learning Support Officer, for a full time ongoing position commencing Monday 29 January 2024.

Teacher Librarian
The Teacher Librarian role is a contract position offered as a 0.4 (FTE) for Semester 2 of 2023.

In the Mercy spirit, love, compassion and service underpin all we are and do.
Ideally this will be a teacher with a specific qualification in this area of education. They will provide a broad range of digital, print, electronic and audio-visual resources to support the learning outcomes of students and support effective teaching.
The role will also involve supporting English teachers with Wide Reading programs at a junior secondary level and conducting daily library duties such as borrowing books to students, returns, shelving of resources and purchasing of resources for teaching staff.
